Interesting to hear about the excellent preparation, going over sections of the course at least three times added to a tough physical and mental background and a quiet self-confidence shows a BGR record time was on the cards, Obviously, there are things that can go wrong on the day but thankfully there was a decent weather window and support team available. So the stones are the lottery/ raffle ticket you need to enter the draw. The more, the higher chance of success, but can only get from world tour series and they do not expire. The qualifiers are essentially proof of completing a classification of event, eg. 100K. You can get this from a world series event and any event showing the qualifying logo. You need at least 1 stone and 1 qualifier of the appropriate distance within 24 months to enter the finals. I have enter UTS 100K. Looking forward to it, but all I can think about is 4am start!
